NWA Hunger Relief, Inc. Is a 501 (c)(3) hunger relief organization that was formed to combat hunger and its ensuing social issues. We manage a food pantry in West Fork, Arkansas on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM each week. This food pantry is open only to the residents of West Fork at the present time. Plans are to expand service in the near future. The pantry, Unity Food Pantry is located at Unity Covenant Church, 14680 Union Star Road, West Fork, AR 72774. Requirements are listed on our Agency Services Page.
Meal service is provided at the M&N Augustine Foundation on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 PM. The Foundation is located at 503 East 15th Street, Fayetteville. This program is open to anyone who is in need of a hot meal.
NWA Agency Support another division of NWAHR has donated several thousand pounds of food items to other pantries the NWA Area. In addition we have donated several cases of new books to One Community in Springdale, AR to be used in the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. The Washington County Juvenile Court has also been a recipient of books and stuffed animals as has various other child service agencies in the area.
New to our program is our railroad museum area. Located just south of Fayetteville this garden railroad is open to senior centers, schools, church groups or any organization and individuals by appointment on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. The museum is open late April through mid November. For additional information you may visit www.heather-ridge.com
The museum’s main objective is to accept donations of non perishable food and personal hygiene items for our pantry in West Fork. The museum also promotes the enjoyment of model railroading and railroad safety.
Through our networking resources we will touch the lives of many people in the NWA area. Please visit our support page and make a donation today. All funds directly impact lives in our area. We are a 100% volunteer organization.
